CHALLENGE / Despite a roster of legends, including Ichiro, Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez and Felix Hernandez, the Mariners struggled to convert talent into postseason success. With wins unpredictable, they needed a way to keep fans engaged and invested.

INSIGHT / We saw that fans connected most when they saw the human side of the players. Humor offered a way to build emotional loyalty that transcended the scoreboard.

SOLUTION / We created a long-running campaign that introduced fans to the personalities behind the gloves—funny, weird, and completely lovable. From memorable TV spots to irreverent out-of-home, the work turned Mariners players into household names and the campaign into a cultural fixture.
Not just a campaign, it's a national sports story.
During launch week for the campaign, the buzz can be deafening. Over the years, the ads have been shared and talked about by SportsCenter, Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, Adweek and more. And they’re regularly shared yearly during sports broadcasts, and by individual columnists.
