Paid Search Specialist

Job Description:

The role of Paid Search Specialist is to work with the Sr. Search Strategist to generate the highest return on investment (ROI) for our clients' SEM campaigns. You'll use your technical expertise in Google and Microsoft Ads to implement, optimize and analyze campaigns daily.

Responsibilities

Setup & Implementation

  • Ability to follow best practices to set up and deploy paid search campaigns within tight deadlines. Configure bids, ads, keywords, ad extensions, etc. to meet campaign objectives
  • Be involved in ad development, keyword selection, and audience targeting

Management & Optimization

  • Provide support to Sr. Search Strategist on the day-to-day management of existing SEM accounts and new SEM opportunities
  • Conduct recurring weekly and monthly SEM optimization tasks (i.e., keyword expansion, ad testing, negative management, etc.)
  • Perform regular quality assurance/quality control checks on assigned client campaigns to ensure they are meeting budget and KPI objectives
  • Monitor account notification and alerts to resolve or escalate issues as soon as possible 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Measure and evaluate the success of SEM campaigns to inform investment decisions
  • Create forecasts to set accurate KPI benchmarks
  • Analyze landing pages, bidding strategies, keywords, and ad performance to recommend and implement improvements to maintain KPI benchmarks
  • Maintain and collect data for KPI dashboards
  • Provide ongoing and ad hoc analytical support

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of hands-on paid search experience (Google & Bing)
  • Certifications are a plus: Google AdWords Fundamentals, Microsoft Ads Certification
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Google Data Studio, and Google Analytics
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEM
  • Knowledge of foundations SEO and digital market concepts is a plus
  • Experience with third-party campaign management platforms, such as Google Ads Editor
